Hybrid Blow-Off Valve Emerged Among Thousands of Products as Voted on by Panel of International Judges.
GFB Engineers were honoured to receive a Global media award at the 2017 SEMA Show for the new Hybrid Blow Off Valve.
It is fitting that the launch of this new product coincides with the 20th anniversary of dual-outlet BOV technology invented by GFB, and receiving the Global Media Award for it is the icing on the birthday cake!
Dual port BOVs may seem commonplace and obvious today, but this is due to the pioneering design introduced to the turbo market by GFB in 1998, which has since been adopted by most other manufacturers. This system was developed to solve the problem of turbo engines stalling and backfiring when fitted with full atmosphere-venting BOVs, and has evolved even further into our patented venting bias adjustment system, as found on the Respons and Deceptor Pro BOVs, which are the only valves in the world that allow the amount of air vented through each port to be adjusted.
